Mel's Sons To Weigh In On Alleged Awfulness

As if there weren't enough people talking about what a jerk
Mel Gibson is, two of his seven kids from his first marriage, William, 25, and Tommy, 11, are testifying as part of a domestic violence investigation against him.

Oksana Grigorieva says William tried to calm his father down during a December 2009 incident when Mel threw a chair through a glass door at his Malibu mansion, according to Radar. "William tried to talk Mel down from his tirade and engage him in a conversation while Oksana and her mom fled to a guest room with the baby," a source tells Radar.
Oksana has also told police that she saw Mel hit his youngest son, Tommy. They were at a hockey game two-and-a-half years ago when Oksana claims he hit the boy, then nine, across the head. This was long before Mel had acknowledged his relationship with Oksana. He didn't split from Robyn, his wife of 29 years, until April 2009.
And yet Robyn was quick to come to Mel's defense. She filed a sworn affidavit last month that read, "Mel never engaged in any physical abuse of any kind toward me before, during or after our marriage. Mel was a wonderful and loving father."
We'll have to see if these kids back up Oksana's version of events. If their mother's story is any indication, the Gibson family protects its own. And they're not going to get any Costa Rican vacations with
Britney Spears out of defending Oksana. But hopefully justice will prevail. Throwing a chair through a glass door isn't the easiest thing to keep quiet.
