Mel Gibson is still the best filmmaker to make movies about Jesus, he's now being accused of making death threats. Because, really, why stop at being the world's most famous deranged woman-hating racist? I'm sure
Whoopi Goldberg knows that he's not a murderer, because he spent time with her kids.
According to Radar, seers of all things Mel,
Oksana has accused Mel of threatening to kill her, her 12-year-old son Sascha, their eight-month-old baby Lucia, and himself. She says he made this threat on January 6, the night that he allegedly broke two of her teeth.
The whole story is full of things more suited to
Special Victims Unit. Oksana had gone to see her son play basketball and left Lucia, then two months, with a nanny. Mel was so enraged that the nanny hid in a room with
Lucia while Mel stormed around the house slamming doors.
When Oksana came home, Mel launched into his now well-known repartee of "c--t"s, "b--ch"es, and "blow me"s. Oksana told him to calm down, according to Radar's source, and then, while she was holding the baby, he allegedly slugged her, once in the mouth, and again in the head. Then he started strangling her with his hand over her mouth while screaming for an apology. He then pulled a gun out of his pocket and threatened to kill her, the kids and himself. That's when Oksana bolted for the backyard.
The piece of the story that is hard for people to understand is that Oksana then went on to travel the world with Mel while he was promoting his thriller
The Edge of Darkness. They didn't publicly split until April. But domestic abuse cases are complicated that way, and while it might shape public opinion, I think the courts take accusations like this pretty effing seriously.
Chris Brown much? So, you know, let them sort it out in court, but I feel like Mel might want to clear his schedule for the next, say, two to five years.
