Violet Affleck was very surprised to learn
Jennifer Garner lived at her house. The four-year-old offspring of
Ben Affleck and the
Alias star stormed home from school one day after a classmate told her she lived with Jennifer Garner.
"Mom, who is Jennifer Garner and why are people saying she lives with us?" Jen's friend,
Jessica Biel, shared with
Marie Claire for the March issue. "She just knows me as Mom, so I did have to explain to her for the first time about the difference," Jen says.
The role of Mom has been Jennifer's primary part lately. "The two weeks I worked on [ensemble rom-com
Valentine's Day] were the only two weeks I've worked in about a year-and-a-half because of being pregnant and now having a 1-year-old," she tells
Marie Claire.
She's also been "holding down the fort" while husband
Ben Affleck writes, directs and stars in Boston crime drama
The Town. To hear Jen tell it, Ben is working at
Ryan Seacrest-level intensity.
"He gets up and works out every day at 4 a.m. before heading off to work," Jen says. "Every day. I used to do that sometimes for
Alias, but not every day. And I'd do it for 30 minutes, maybe 45. He does it for an hour-and-a-half. He comes home and collapses, and then rewrites scenes for the next day, then crashes and does it all over again."
