Im actually 12, but my mom's dogs are both from breeders. We never get from stores or shelters unless the dog is going to be put down in a few days. We really care about both.
Our oldest dog, Sampson is a bull mastiff and our resident little guy is Eddie, who's gonna be a year on september 6th, and he's a jack russel, the shorty kind. :) . We have two dogs, and two ferrets. :)

Well just because celebs have so called "foo foo" dogs or watever, it is still a DOG people. Just becuase its small and you are able to carry it. it doesnt make it any less of a dog! And i dont see why you people are "shocked" to see celebs with a "normal" dog because really a dog is a dog whether it be big, small, purebred, or mutt! ITS A FRICKEN DOG!

Dogs are not fashion accesories they are a part of the family. Go to a pound and get a fury friend you won't be disappointed i have two and the love they show you is of pure thanks. most puppies from pet stores come from puppy mills and the only way to stop this is to stop buying.

my dog is a pure bred.. one of those so called foo foo dogs too... i got him from a rescue tho! i have a 40 lb border collie and a 14 lb bichon frise id bring both everywhere but its not fair to have em locked in a car... allowances shouldnt be made just because a dog is small.. if anything they have more behavioral issues and are more likely to bite and snap at kids or strangers.. dogs are dogs needing routines and rules to be happy.. celebs should spread the word to end cruelty.adopt dont shop

It's amusing to me how people get all freakish about celebrities with small dogs. A dog doesn't regard being carried around by their master as mistreatment- they love the bond. My Yorkshire Terrier X would kill to go everywhere with me. Why are they small dogs? Convenience. I have three dogs: One large and two small. The large dog always gets stuck at home, because it's more difficult to bring her. If I was a celebrity, catching planes etc., I'd choose small too.

Celebs are going to bring their pets with them like this, in their purses or whatever, whether u like it or not, and even though it's not the nicest way to treat a pet, I'm pretty sure they aren't beating the sh*t out of the poor thing at home. So take a chill pill, and find something actually worth while to bitch about so harshly.
