Lindsay Spends $50,000 On Three Watches

by Ryan Porter
Uhhh, Visa? Have you been following her career or no?

Pointless excess has a new face, and its freckled. On Wednesday, Lindsay Lohan spent a reckless $53,000 at Philippe's Watches & Jewelry in Beverly Hills in 45 minutes, Celebuzz reports. That's nearly $1,200 per minute. To put that into perspective, Paris Hilton caused a scandal so widespread it was discussed by Australia's prime minister when she spent $140-per-minute at Wayne Cooper in Melbourne, Australia, last year.

Lindsay got three watches: a $30,000 Rolex with a diamond dial, a $15,000 Daytona gold watch with black mother-of-pearl dial, and an $8,000 Rolex with a black diamond skull (she then got a 20% celebrity discount on all of them). The skull watch was a "very romantic gift," owner Philippe Briest admits. Presumably that would be for the girl Lindsay has a joint bank account with. This isn't going to help Samantha's ear infection.

In these volatile economic times, Lindsay has adopted many radical new financial plans to manage what's left of her fortune after spending most of it on drugs and bronzer in those turbulent times known as a year-and-a-half ago. She's investing $800 a week into her hair, Ok! reports. Lindsay gets a wash and blow-dry for her mane of many colours twice a week at the Andy Lecompte Salon in Beverly Hills. Her beauty budget also includes $500 a week for girlfriend Samantha Ronson's  'do.

It's a pretty extravagant beauty regime considering Lindsay hasn't had a film released since 2007's Razzie Award-winning I Know Who Killed Me. But she is the limbs behind a best-selling leggings line. A rep for celeb-friendly L.A. boutique Kitson tells Fox the Lindsay Lohan leggings, named 6126, are "selling off the shelves." "Lindsay came out with the right item at the right time and the right price point for her fans," the rep says. "And of course it helps that she's wearing her label all the time." So that's temporarily keeping her in $40,000-per-year hair until the next big gig. That gig would be the Lindsay Lohan bronzer, coming in 2011. Really.
